I grew up listening to rock mixed in with some jazz fusion. Started playing drums in 6th grade, played professionally in the 80's with the Kamikazi Klones, mostly original rock show band (called new wave at the time). Played some high profile venues, did a couple west coast tours along with studio work.
I have my own style geared more for creative inspiration rather than imitation.
Strongly feel unless the show is originally unique or exceptional talent, gigging is all about the rhythm getting the crowd fired up with motion on the dance floor or wherever they choose to participate in the energy.
Dynamics are such a powerful element with music, gotta have em.
I am looking to hook up with others that have the ability to grasp and enjoy the enchantment that drives us.
