At the age of thirteen, he became interested In music, when his school offered instruments to the students. He began to hone in on his musical ability, while attending the music classes in high school. Freddy began working odd jobs at the same time. After high school, Freddy joined the Army, where he was active for three years. While in the Army, he continued his musical interest by joining the Army band. Freddy began performing and doing gigs at the age of twenty-three. During his musical career, he attended USC, where he graduated. Throughout the years of performing, he has worked with some big names like The Platters, Spencer Davis, and Etta James.
