Been playing guitar for 13 years. Started off playing rock music. I'm a music performance major with classical guitar. I play genres like rock, latin, jazz, classical and folk.
I'm also into Electronic music and just finished an album this year.
There's a few basic music bands/groups that I'd really like to start. If I started one, I'd probably not be able to do the other to with time and whatnot.
First, I'd really like to start an indie/folk duo. The stuff I write I feel kind of sounds better with a female vocalist over a male vocalist. I've worked with vocalists before and I tend to prefer my tracks with a female singer. Something kinda like She & Him, Metric, Tennis, etc.
Secondly, I'd also be interested in starting an acoustic/latin guitar duo/trio. I'm not the best Jazz improviser, but with folk, rock or latin music I do alright.
Third would be an Electronic duo of something along those lines. I like the music I write and am satisfied with the compositions, but I don't have the best equipment for producing. I think it'd be cool if I could meet someone a bit more savvy with producing music. I'm more into ambient slow electronic music, not so much into the dubstep sound.
