I consider myself a sort of jack-of-all-trades guitarist, although I primarily study jazz and styles derived from jazz like funk and fusion. I also maintain an Insta account (nokittybadkitty) where I post videos of developing musical concepts and live performances.
Update (2/2/2019): Currently seeking a vocalist for an experimental/progressive rock project. I have a bass player and drummer lined up with material ready to go. Prefer someone age 25-35, with some background in music theory/composition (although that's not a deal-breaker). Message me on IG or e-mail me at ryan.sztochmal. As long as this message is up, I'm still looking!

I love music with some compositional structure that still leaves space for improvisation (think "free jazz" rather than "jam band"). I also love energetic, technical music that translates into frenetic live playing. I want my audience to have as much fun listening to my music as I do creating it.

Blues and brews.
Blues and beer.
I'll be playing out with Lilly's Thursday night house band. Come on out to meet up, grab a drink, and watch us perform (or perform with us if you play an instrument!) Prospective bandmates, this is your chance to see if I'm the sort of musician you'd want to work with.
Jam starts at 10:00 pm. Music is jazz/funk improv. Bar is 21+.
