Mark has been playing drums for over 30 years. He is a founding member of the pop rock band Sanctus Real, which began in Toledo, Ohio back in 1996. In 2001 the band signed with Sparrow Records and has been releasing records and touring full time ever since.

Sanctus Real has released 10 full length records and multiple EP's. SR has had numerous #1 and top 5 radio singles on Christian Hit Radio and Adult Contemporary Radio. The band has sold over 1.5 million records in their career and has performed thousands of concerts all over the world.

Over the last 6 years, when not on the road, Mark has been teaching private drum lessons and even doing the occasional clinic. He has a genuine heart for sharing from the unique experiences he’s had with the next generation of up and coming drummers.

Mark is also an accomplished studio session drummer. He has played on every recording Sanctus Real has ever released as well as numerous records for solo acts both signed and independent. Mark has been hired by many different producers in Nashville, TN as well as in his hometown area of Toledo, OH for their studio drumming needs.

Mark also currently endorses Sabian Cymbals, Promark Drumsticks, Evans Drumheads, Risen Custom Drums, Puresound Snare Wires and Westone In Ear Monitors.
