I can add a new SOUND that no other band around has. I can make the TAMBOURINE SING! I tend to play along with the lead singer, background singers and electric guitars.
God gave me a special new-found gift at 49. I have had many since childhood, but my lack of parental support kept me from being all I could be in the area of sports and music. But I feel it is never too late. Having never played percussions at all until I picked up the tambourine, it was the natural ability of sports all my life and dance (free style and ballroom) that has enabled me to have such precise timing out of an instrument that is often "poo pooed." and like Rodney Dangerfield has sad over and over, RECEIVES NO RESPECT!...I hope to change all that...:)
What I mean by precise timing is that I have every level of TEMPO, RHYTHM, BEAT, STOPS and GO'S, SOFT, LOUD when appropriate, different sound changes etc. I can do this to songs I've never heard before, no matter how tough or even off beat (?). I use two types of tambourines (can learn more) and I can play bongo's/conga's. I can ad lib to anything with no need for practice...ever! As long as the music has good rhythm, beat and tempo, it's all good. The harder the better...:)
If not in a band, I would love to do the FINISHING touch to songs. In the 1st year, and then 2 1/2 years after starting, I have recorded studio work of a total of 60 songs. I love studio work. But I am also willing to travel. BTW, I am even better now. I can send a few songs to you. Plus, I am working on doing VIDEOS this month. Camera phones pick up too much clanging noise, I don't like.

I would love to be in MAROON 5'S Band...TAYLOR SWIFT...BRUNO MARS...Top 3 for me. That is the level I am at.
