Singer/songwriter looking for background singer/harmony and musicians for a country band - folks who can write music and play far better than I can. I write my own songs and melodies. Need someone to help me complete them with the music. Not sure where I can take this, but I'd like to start a band and start playing locally and record some stuff if we have it together. I prefer the old country - slow ballads and even some stuff folks will get up and dance to. Mainly, I'm not interested in the new "bro country" style Nashville is currently putting out. I'm not insulting anyone else who enjoys that. It's just not my style. I like a more traditional sound driven by good lyrics, good melodies, and the sounds coming from acoustic guitars, steel guitars, fiddles, country lead guitars, etc. I'm not a competent musician at this point, but I am 100% committed to becoming one. I live in Fairhope on the eastern shore and work across the bay in Mobile (days). I have evenings and weekends off.
