Hey everyone :)

So, after over 10 years of gigging alone, or with people that cannot make a permanent commitment, I am forming a band. Here is a little breakdown of my background, what I do, and what I am looking for.

I am a classically trained vocalist. I was trained in opera, but don't let that scare you, I have the ability to "rock out" my voice. I also play the piano and flute. I am also a songwriter, engineer, and I have my own business, Musicgirl Productions doing booking, promotions, and live sound. I am also an actress and dancer, so with all that training, I know how to run a stage, and work a crowd. Even though I am probably one of the most outgoing and personable people you could meet, I am probably more comfortable on a stage than I am talking in person.

I have a very unique style of writing and singing. With that classical training, I am able to do things with my voice that not many vocalists can. I even yodel, LOL. I have a huge range, and I love to belt notes, and get crowds into it.

I have over 1800 songs written, and still write everyday. I think the best way to describe my style is a mixture of Jewel, Dave Matthews Band, and Pink. I know, it sounds strange, but somehow it all fits.

What I am looking for is a rhythm guitarist, lead guitarist, bassist, drummer, and would KILL to have some horns and strings in there as well. I am especially looking for people that also write music, so that there can be collaboration. Especially since this is going to be a jamband, I need people that can break out, and do their own thing.

The best part of it all is that through my business, I have some pretty amazing connections. I need people that can devote at LEAST 3 nights a week for practice. I live on the south side right now, but am looking at practice spaces and such up north. I will also be moving to Bucktown in early November.
