Well, let's keep it simple...
We are a duo: Bass Guitar (Marc) and Drums (John).
For the last year we ran an open mic in Newark, NJ playing as a three piece with a guitarist who recently moved to Florida to pursue his retirement.
Our music is some sort of instrumental mix of funk, rock, and a bit progressive at times.
The music was generally developed as significant and complex rhythms (drums and bass) (think choppy/percussive) with more of a spacious cloud (guitar) that blanketed the sound with warmth and occasionally hacked in for a solo or two.
We are looking to take our music to a new place.
As we wish to keep our rhythm section as rich and complex as always, we are looking for another instrument, or two to create that feeling of space and add the timely solo/extra dynamic to develop the music further.
We are by no means averse to adding vocals. If you think you've got it, bring it on.
