SEEKING
Vocalist, Rhythm Guitar, Lead Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Bass Guitar, Keyboard, Other.ABOUT
56 year old acoustic guitarist, intermediate level. Keen on classic rock and some blues. Have a few original rock/pop tunes to share, and can follow other people's original tunes and songs I do not already know (depending on the complexity). Know basic music theory. Cannot sight read. Like to re-arrange songs with my very rhythmic guitar strumming style and other ideas. My chords are not just straight "majors and minors." Can improvise and can play lead, too, but rhythm is my strength. Can play some keyboard and some singing.
Looking to simply jam and have a good time with same level musicians. Gigging is not a goal, but if it sounds good enough, i am very available for that, too. No time restrictions on get-together or playing out.
Recently moved to Austin, would like to partake in serious jam sessions or to host parties where everybody plays and sings along, has a tambourine or a wood block, high energy, lots of smiles.

original composition, away from power chords, i play guitar parts only
original composition, away from power chords, i play guitar parts only Year: 2003 Album: none Genre: Other
an original by me, not my typical type, as it is not derivative of rock or blues. it uses a variety of chords and has some nice changes. it may fall into the "jazz rock" category with a touch of funk. i play acoustic guitar (rhythm and lead) and my friend john plays the rest. he did the mix. please forgive the programmed drums. i wrote it on acoustic guitar while backpacking in malaysia some years back. it was nice to hear it filled out.

lone electric guitar solo, at age 14, before going "acoustic"
lone electric guitar solo, at age 14, before going "acoustic" Year: 1972 Album: none Genre: Classic Rock
my guitar roots are electric rock, and here is what i sounded like at age 14 with my fender mustang and a "manny's" fuzz box plugged into my parents stereo (when they were out-of-town!). since then, i no longer play electric but like to strum hard and bend notes on my taylor steel string acoustic.
