ABOUT

Hello, I am currently looking for women in the 18-22 range on Long Island, (or willing to travel), to form an all girl pop-rock/pop-punk, perhaps with some indie influences as well. You must be willing to have a serious commitment, (not just a hobby band). You don’t have to be a perfect instrumentalist, but you have to have a decent amount of experience, and be willing to grow and work hard. I am a 19 year old vocalist and lyricist looking for either a guitarist or a bassist, (I have someone interested that can play both, but she isn’t local so I’m not 100% sure if the dynamic will work out or not, and a drummer. Bonus points if you are good in music theory/production, (still a work in progress for me), and good at marketing/know how to land gigs. You also have to be willing to be visible on social media, (eventually I will make a TikTok, be, and for the band, because realistically in this day and age it is the best way to market music). My vision for the band is to start practicing somewhere on Long Island, and once we have a cohesive sound, record music to release and advertise on the internet, and play gigs. My goal is for the music online to gather enough traction where the gigs will go from small and local to hopefully bigger.

My background: I am currently studying music on Long Island, (a vocal major). I am new to taking lessons, but I have experience in a few choirs and musical theatre. I think singing and songwriting is where I am proficient enough to contribute to a band, but I currently take piano lessons, and soon will be taking guitar lessons as well.

Influences

Since the band has not been formed yet the sound can be experimental to a certain degree, but we have talked about pop-rock, pop-punk, and indie as our possible influences.

Members Of Band

We have a vocalist/lyricist, and someone who can play either bass or guitar, and is studying music production.

We need either a bassist or a guitarist, and a drummer. Backup vocals and other instruments are always a plus, but I really don’t want us to exceed 4 members. You don’t have to be well-rounded if you are good at one thing, but being well-rounded is always a plus.

EQUIPMENT

Have: Ibanez Mikro bass, Rogue Series III, Rogue Acoustic Guitar,First Act electric guitar, Yamaha FG800, access to a keyboard and basic Focusrite type sound equipment.
Need: Sound equipment including mics for live performances/gigs, (I would also be willing to save up for some of this, but realistically I cannot buy all of it myself). Funding for recording at a studio if the Focusrite recordings don’t sound professional enough, (it would still be good for demos though).
