I keep an open mind as far as music goes, but what I am most interested in creating is music that elicits a personal connection with listeners and has a broad appeal. I suppose you could call that pop music!

Influences
I am influenced by a wide variety of styles. Lately I have been influenced by modern country music, which garners a massive audience and clearly has wide appeal. My bread and butter is jam band music such as Dave Matthews Band, Little Feat, and the Grateful Dead. I am very influenced by the blues, particularly Stevie Ray Vaughan and Eric Clapton, as well as classic rock in the vein of Hendrix. I am a huge fan of John Mayer's music (particularly his more rock-oriented music, i.e. John Mayer Trio). I also am very interested in electronic music, or at least incorporating of its sense of rhythm and magnitude of sound into my music. The Band is also a huge influence on me. I am currently studying jazz as well.
