Singer/performer (i.e. I like to get up and move a lot on stage while I sing-but the music comes first) interested in starting a band here in Chicago in the vain of 50's Blues/Rock, i.e. Otis Redding with a bit of raw vocals similar to Mic Jagger or Cat Power. Very into the call and response style. Looking for a kickin' drummer to start, then horns, organist, guitarist and maybe upright bass. Someone who can play the tambourines is also a plus. I have been singing my whole life and have a music degree, so I appreciate precision in rhythm and pitches. Have already written songs with my boyfriend who plays keys and guitar sometimes and would love to sing some of my songs and/or whatever covers we come up with.
