I'm an amateur musician who has been playing the drums for ~ 9 years and have a full time job. Note, the keyword is playing and doesn't necessarily mean I've been diligently practicing for all those years.
I have played live a few times with a band in undergrad - mostly covering Iron Maiden, Metallica, Judas Priest, Megadeth, etc. and a couple of original compositions. I'm mainly interested in just jamming for fun for starters and then , based on the chemistry , take it from there. I appreciate all genres of metal (except maybe hair and power) , with my favorite being Black Metal (Second wave, mostly atmospheric and depressive), Melodic /Progressive/Blackened Death Metal and some Thrash, Doom and Sludge. I also dig Blackgaze and some electronic artists like Bonobo.
