SEEKINGVocalist, Lead Guitar.
Experienced lead guitarist.
Our band has been together for 13 years so you must be an proficient player with some stage experience. We expect you to step into the position and be ready to play.
You must be willing to practice on your own, learn our songs, and rehearse with us as a group weekly.
Our band is busy and that’s the way we like it. If you are not willing or able to play at least 70 gigs per year, please do not apply.
While we are a classic rock band, I am working on larger corporate gigs which will sometimes require that we play more than just our beloved classic rock. Things like Country, Southern Rock, maybe some dance music, and seasonal tunes.
We play for the joy of performing and entertaining and of course we get paid for our performances, but we also have a big heart. We do a few gigs for large fund raisers every year that we do not charge (they are tax deductible).
The only way a band like C-ROCK has survived for the long haul is that the band members show a genuine respect for each other and we avoid drama. Drama, ego, and pride are the cancer that eventual kills a band. So if you are needy, have to be the center of attention, make people around you mad all the time, please do not apply. If you hide that trait and somehow get hired by us, when that trait surfaces, we will let you go quickly.
We are very professional in our music, our presentation, our entertainment, and the way we run our band business. We have a mission statement and everyone who joins the band is first required to read and agree with before we hire you. You must be a mature, reliable, professional, and a responsible person.
Most of our gigs are paid by a check (made out to the band). I distribute equal portions (band members and sound) for each gig by either direct deposit, PayPal, or check which ever you prefer. I usually pay on Sunday following a weekend of gigs and the money will be in your account within two business days with direct deposit and same day with PayPal.
For tax purposes, I require that you fill out a W-9 and you will get a 1099-MISC statement from me at the end of each year.
We would like to hear some recordings of your performances; please send some links. However, we also want to hear you play some of the songs that we play.
For an audition, you will be required to play the six songs listed below. It would be very helpful if you could do a simple recording of you playing these songs. A recording on your iPhone is fine.
Summer of ’69 D Bryan Adams
Hit Me with your Best Shot E Pat Benatar
Don’t Stop Believing E Journey
Tush G ZZ Top
I Want You to Want Me A Cheap Trick
Rock You Like a Hurricane E Scorpions
