We have just completed recording the drums and guitars for our first album: a modern day fairy tale with a very unique storyline. Our influences include The Gathering, 10,000 Maniacs, Marillion, Helium, Agalloch, Smashing Pumpkins, and New Order. The Giant Gila Monsters so far feature Vanessa on guitar and Erin on drums and other stuff.
We are looking for a female vocalist (or very open-minded male) with a good 2-3 octave range (alto-2nd soprano) for an indie progressive rock concept album. Samples, including melodies are ready to go. Our ideal candidate would sound like the nerdy love child of Courtney Love and Simone Simons. Whimsical sense of humor is a plus.
