We are Guitar, Drums and Bass, all chilren of the 80's who wasted our listening to this stuff. We've litteraly got a century of combined experience.
We jam once a week at Parallel Sounds in Auburndale (behind the dump).
We've all go full time commitments; we're not looking to make it (we wouldn't make it very far playing this stuff anyhow)
Must like bands mentioned, don't even think of showing up and asking if we know any Dead tunes.

I tend to consider broader genres as influences- 70's-80's hard rock/classic metal. When play I sprinkle in a little: Geezer Butler; John Paul Jones; Cliff Burton; Steve Harris; Les Claypool
Each song needs the right bass line. Some of the best bass lines are straight up eighth notes a la AC/DC. Not because they are impressive but because they are exactly what the song needs to sounds good. Instead of thinking "what cool thing can I do" I approach playing asking "what can I do to make this song sound great"
- Bass Guitar:
Fender Jazz, Martin B1, Rick 4004
Ampeg 300 watt head, Ampeg 4x10, SWR Big Ben
