I am 29, living about 20 minutes west of the city of Chicago, looking to get back into a routine with a cohesive band. I've been a guitar player since a sophomore in high school, I'm not classical trained by any means, but I have a knack for learning quickly and picking things up by ear. My goal is to be part of something fun and meaningful. My skill level I would consider to be intermediate to advanced.

Bands I derived my playing technique from have included Metallica, Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, Alterbridge, Joe Satriani, 3 Doors Down, Stevie Ray Vaughn, etc.
(Not a cohesive mix I know)

A compilation of classic and alternative rock with blues undertone has dictated my style. I don't like the growling in some metal music, but I really like the soloist style. Definitely feel I am into progressive playing style.
