ABOUT

I am a singer/songwriter with many years of experience looking to connect with other musicians for the purpose of eventually creating a band. Much work is needed up front to see how the "mesh" turns out of course. My idea and preference is to tap into our creative side wherever possible. By this I mean that I like to venture outside the box and try challenging things with music that you may not always hear on the radio. I am not a fan of the “been there, done that” mentality and if covers are played I would prefer songs that audiences might recognize but that they may seldom hear covered. Most importantly, if I cover a song, it will most likely NOT sound like the original. It's very important for me to contribute our own style to songs wherever possible. This takes time to develop through practice and frequent jam sessions. I've played in several bands over the years, mostly as front man. My main instrument is my vocals but I write music and would like to incorporate an indie rock type sound and perhaps develop into a band that may eventually be able to gig. I am looking for musicians that can harmonize well vocally and have no problem taking the lead on some songs too (this adds depth). Bass guitar is key as well. I am hoping to find a fairly well rounded bass player with experience in many genres. Of course, keyboards/piano/other brass instruments and/or string instruments are great too.
