Lifelong musician in a lot of different ways, including a college degree in theory/composition a couple decades ago. More recently, I've been writing songs and singing in an Americana/folk/country vein.
I'd say I'm foremost a songwriter, a pretty good singer that's still finding my solo voice, and an intermediate acoustic rhythm guitarist - getting better pretty fast at that last one. I can also do a lot of things at the keyboard, my original instrument.
I'd be interested in finding some people to get together informally to play and sing some of our favorite songs, and also my songs (your songs too, if you've got some). I'd also be interested in forming a group that could seriously perform and record original music, and see how far we can go with it. And I might be interested in doing something else that would fall between those two poles, depending on what others might have in mind.
I've included studio recordings of two of my original songs (made with the help of a couple very good musicians). If you like anything you hear, drop me a line - here or elsewhere.
