Looking to put together a band to play/write originals. Seeking guitarists, drummer, bassist, female vocalist, and maybe piano. My goal is to start practicing a couple times a week and get together a set list of mostly originals ASAP so we can begin gigging around - great if you have connections already to bars/venues.
I've played in a few short-lived bands through college but I'm really looking to start something serious this time. I know its a tough business to make it in but now's the time to try while I'm young so I'm looking for musicians in their 20's that are also serious about making music their career and dedicated to practicing and gigging, whatever it takes.
I'm 24 and I sing and play basic rhythm guitar but my passion is really for writing catchy songs. I have played and written in different styles but mainly Pop, Pop Punk, Soft Rock and Alternative Rock. With that said, I'd like to focus on making some on some catchy, upbeat Pop Rock music with attitude.
Some of my influences include: Fall Out Boy, The Maine, The 1975, The Wombats, Foster The People, One Republic, Imagine Dragons, Bastille
You can check out some of my recordings on my below. My older stuff is Pop Punk I've also got some heavier rock songs like "New Land of the Free" I like both styles and ideally would like to end up with something in the middle.
I've been really trying to get my originals recorded but I need a killer band that can really bring these songs to life. Plus I love collaborating with other musicians, it's awesome when you're writing a song together and the pieces just click.
