Nick Alexander (stage name) is a professional composer, arranger, performer, and transcriber. who lives about an hour north of Seattle, Washington.
His first work on an album was the Waking Maya EP, in which he served as a bassist and pianist. Both instruments were recorded in a single take for all songs, as he has the ability to multitask instruments.
Nick can study a musician's musical style in order to play like them. If your band has a recently departed member, he can quickly pick up their style this way; or alternatively, if you're looking for a certain sound. He can also write arrangements for both vocal harmonies as well as other instruments.
Nick is currently in the rock band 31 Nights, but is actively looking for session work, as he prefers to be in the background. What Nick is looking for in a band are hard-working individuals who can perform with their respective instruments professionally, as well as act professionally as well.
Nick is very proficient on bass, keyboards, guitar, and singing. He is a baritone singer. His skills on guitar include being able to play things such as Alice in Chains, The Offspring, and Eric Clapton (Advanced). He can play both lead and rhythm guitar. His skill on the bass is about the same, in the Paul McCartney/Peter Cetera/Chris Squire areas of skill. For drums, Nick was taught professionally by Brad McRae and has experience from the drumline in high school.
Nick's vocal range is about E2-B4, though on rare occasions, can sing a little higher and lower.
