ABOUT

Nicolas Quijano (Guitarist for Powerman 5000) was born in Bismarck, the capitol city of North Dakota. By age 11, Nick was already performing with many groups such as: Drevlow's Disciples, Actar 9-11, and 13 dead.

By the summer of 2002, Nick moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota, searching for the next level of success.

In 2003, Nick joined the up-and-coming Minneapolis powerhouse, Rivkit. Quickly winning the band’s respect and trust, Nick wrote, produced, and designed album art for Rivkit’s full length CD Words of Mass Deception. By 2005, the band was regularly performing alongside national acts like Dry Kill Logic, Bloodsimple, American Head Charge, and Rikets.

In January 2006, Nick obtained management through Patrick Whalen and Fast Paced Management, which has handled acts such as American Head Charge and Five Finger Death Punch. When American Head Charge started looking for a new guitarist in mid-2006, Whalen was quick to suggest Nick. On September 30, 2006, Nick and American Headcharge debuted together at the Delicious Rox Festival along with Fear Factory, Five Finger Death Punch, Fozzy, Motogrator, Rikets, Drive Theory, Drowning Pool, and Saliva.

American Head Charge went on to tour the eastern US and then to cross the Atlantic and play a well-received tour of England, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales: the European Occupation Tour. American Headcharge headlined this tour with direct support from Panic Cell and Twin Method.

Nick has appeared in advertisements for Basson Sound Equipment (along side Motley Crue's bassist Nikki Six) for NAMM music festival and other nationally published magazines. Throuout 2009 - 1010 Nick toured with nationally acclaimed industrial metal act Rikets and was featured in their softmore album "All American Death Cult" and the music video for "Program the Dead" shot by David S. Brodsky (filmed bands such as: Bleed the Sky, Unearth, In This Moment, Head (PE), and Trivium).

Throughout 2010 - 2012 Nick toured with The Dreaming featuring ex Stabbing Westward vocalist Christopher Hall.

Currently Nick is working diligently with his new band mates Powerman 5000. With tour dates coming up in China and a full US tour in September 2012 Nick and PM5K will be busy for quite some time.
