Nick “NickSmoove” Stewart showed a love for music in his early childhood. He started playing the drums at the age of ten years old. Being a native of Birmingham, Alabama he never imagined that music would take him on the wild journey that it has. Nick grew up playing the drums in church. He got the most growth and instruction performing and traveling with the 9th Episcopal District A.M.E Choir and the Alabama School of FIne Arts Jazz ensemble. He had performed at every jazz and R&B venue in Birmingham, Alabama while still in high school. When making his decision for college Nick knew he had to choose an institution that would help him maximize the potential in his talent with his craft. With that being said he accepted a scholarship to the prestigious Berklee College of Music in 2008.
Boston proved to be very different from his hometown but Nick quickly showed how fast he could adapt. Berklee challenged Nick to learn to perform various genres. He gained experience playing with Quartets, R&B, Fusion, Funk , and Hip Hop ensembles!
Nick has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with some major people in the music industry such as; Dj Greenlatern, Ant David, Wale, Jessie Boykins, Christopher Williams, and two time Grammy award winning Dj Fat Man Scoop.
NickSmoove has proved that he can do anything that he puts his mind to. He’s an educated, dedicated, and dependable musician. He has goals to reach and wont stop until the job is done and done right!
