ABOUT

Aloha! Brandi here, aka Nikki Zach... and I have been a vocalist since I was a kid. I sing pretty much every type of genre and have a wide vocal range. A good friend got me back out in front of crowds singing again back in 2011. I did a brief stint with a band, Imperfect Journey, in 2014, but can now mainly be caught at karaoke (and sometimes local competitions). I sing a lot of Evanescence, Heart, classic rock, some country (Carrie Underwood, Martina McBride, etc.), and because I grew up a good portion of my early life in Baltimore, I have a deep love for R&B and even some rap. I've been writing poetry for a long time and started writing again, but struggle to put them to music. I'm open to creating new music as well as doing covers.

I'm a really relaxed laid back person and can get along with anyone. Truth be told, I'm about 60% deaf, which didn't onset until my mid-20s. I have since adjusted and while I'm not 100% immediate pitch perfect anymore, I still kick ass and take names. If anything, I think it's made me appreciate the art even more... Never wait until you lose something in order to learn appreciation.

I’ve also lost 150 lbs over the last several years so the video attached to my profile is pretty old lol… I have much more fun and stage presence now ;)

Influences

Amy Lee from Evanescence, Ann from Heart, Lzzy from Halestorm, Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, 80s rock musicians (Alice in Chains!), SOOO many artists!!! 3 Doors Down, Nirvana, Martina McBride, Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, Avenged Sevenfold, Alice in Chains, Linkin Park, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, 30 Seconds to Mars, and especially Eminem. I love artists that address real issues and the complexity of emotional rollercoasters.
