ABOUT

Not intended for enthusiasts of any genre, nor purists, music lovers, or really anyone who likes anything too much to deface it: classical (think: Beethoven, Mozart), techno/industrial/heavy metal/trip-hop with little bits of horror movies & Nintendo games sampled into it just to make it weirder: mixing errors are the glitches that make it my own, which is great because I suck at studio engineering! Despite the name & the weirdness I am neither retarded or stoned, I hate lazy, easy music, & I don't like stupid people. I believe this project is the most fun to work on, but it is very difficult & perfectionism is both necessary & absolutely untennable. It's hard to explain people. It will probably never amount to much, but it's what I love.

Influences

Tricky, Apex Twin, Genesis, Garbage, Beethoven, Bonobo, Pink Floyd...lots of stuff...The Knife, Fiona Apple, Tori Amos, Tool, etc., etc., etc.... Various Nintendo and Sega Genesis games. This list could go on forever: White Zombie, Marilyn Manson, Pantera, Acid Bath, blah blah blah blah blah...

Members Of Band

Me. I've worked with a few musicians but the metal guitarist hates the classical pianist, the pianist hates the repetitive riffs, the drummer hated the sequencer & the keyboard player/vocalist...well, she just kinda didn't know how to play very well or sing.... Anyway, lot of hard feelings, some "still friends," but everyone survived & all was well at the end of the day.

EQUIPMENT

Ibanez SDGR 400, Gibson "the Paul," Epiphone accoustic, lil' M Audio 88-key USB controller (keyboard), Casio concert piano, 2x wide-diaphram mics with shock-mounts & windscreens on booms + 2x condenser mics, J Station & some other kind of effects processors (and many VSTs), a bunch of computers, Presonous Audiobox audio input (working on my ProFx12 mixer), and DAW/sequencing programs like Reason, Ableton Live and Cubase 6...KRK 5 studio monitors, 2x375w powered PA speakers, etc. Just pretty much a mess of a cheap studio...it gets pretty messy...
