ABOUT

I came from a musical family; My dad was a professional musician, and my eldest brother played with Wilson Picket for two years and Fats Domino for at least 15 years.
I myself have an AA in music from Sacramento City College, with most of my performance experience in being in voice (choir, chambers).
I'm returning to the world of music after a long absence.
I do play, but I prefer vocals and songwriting/composition for now, especially composition. I'd rather write music behind the scenes than actually be on stage.
To listen to music projects I'm working on, go to and look for Cougarwitch.

Influences

A wide variety of musical influences from Gregorian chant to R&B, but more recently I have been listening to a broad range of what might be considered goth. So, Sisters of Mercy, Fields of the Nephilim, Corpus Delecti, Lycia, and so on. This is a tiny sample, of course.

EQUIPMENT

Scattered. I'm still gathering.
So far, I have base, two acoustic/electric guitars, an acoustic-only guitar. I might expand.
Oh, and paper...Staff paper and mechanical pencils for notation. And apps/software that support notation.
My strongest ability is in music writing/composition. And yes, I do write lyrics. I’d rather write than perform. Writing for others is good too, as long as I get the credit for what I write.
