I am a very dedicated guitar player with vision looking to form or join a metal band, preferrably of the Power Metal/Fantasy Metal genre. I spent 10+ years of my life playing bass and have recently converted to guitar (about a year ago) and have dedicated hours a day to pratice since making the switch. Definitely looking for a group or musicians who like the dueling leads of mainden style metal, combined with fantasy elements. I have been in several giging local bands over the past 10 years and want something with a little more seriousness and commitment then most local bands seem to aspire to.

Influences
Iron Maiden would be my most influential older band, ranging up to newer power metal greats such as Hammerfall, Edguy, Dragon Force, 3 inches of Blood, Dream Evil, Rhapsody of Fire, Sonata Arctica, Nightwish, Masterplan, Gamma Ray, etc. I have a great affinity to what I call history rock, such as Iced Earth's newest work.
EQUIPMENT
Currently, I play through my home studio setup consisting of a MOTU 896HD multitrack firewire sound card, and Guitar Rig 2 software, but plan on purchasing a Messa or Marshall stack for gigging. I have an almost complete home studio setup for recording digitally. I am playing an Ibanez RG1570 Prestige, and have a Dean Exotica FM acoustic.
