Hello my name is Leah Marie, I am a 22 year old singer/songwriter and local Houston visual artist. I have worked in a band type setting before and played gigs in Austin and San Anotonio in a band called Heyoka Soap. It was more on the grunge/southern rock side and I was young.
I am looking to find someone to write with for a acoustic/indie rock/experimental project. I am very open to working with another singer and writing more. I am open to a band or just me and a guitarist.
I am a very creative and emotional writer and I would love to find musicians that would like to start something a little different. I have friends that are heavily involved in the Houston the music scene and could get someone to help promote and get us gigs and record if the music is written well. I have a lot of material just no music. Please contact me if you are interested in doing something different and expressive. I am very open to different sounds. My influences include a mix between idie and 90's music: Tori Amos, Nirvana, Hole, Jewel, William Fizsimmons,iron and wine, Pricilla Ahn, The Beatles, Garbage, Bjork, Florence and the machine, KT Tunstall, No Doubt, Minus the Bear, The Black keys, The Cranberries and Buddy Holly. I love old rock and roll and I love auscoustic music too.
