Band to Join, Background Singer, Acoustic Guitar, Rhythm Guitar, Vocalist.

ABOUT

I have been playing guitar for around 9 years now. Some experience playing in a couple cover bands and an acoustic duo act. I am a solid rhythym guitarist and can sing as well. I can work out leads on a lot of songs as well, but the real intricate and super fast stuff is a little beyond my comfort level. I am not good at hitting the real high notes when singing, but also believe that when you cover a song you make it your own, not try to make it sound like the studio version that took that musician many, many takes and mixes to get the same sound. I want to play live music, period. I want to be in with a group of folks that are dedicated to making music that sounds great, not just ok. I refuse to get on stage and embarrass myself or my bandmates. I am interested in playing covers as well as writing some originals if that option presents itself. I am serious about music and I love to play. On that note, I am open to jam as well, just hit me up. adampeeples29

Influences

I have a very wide variety of influence starting with the old classic rock of CCR, Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet, the Grateful Dead, Jimmy, the Allman Bros, Warren Zevon and the many other great artists of that era. My modern influences are Widespread Panic, Govt Mule, North Mississippi Allstars, Drive by Truckers, and others. I don't limit myself to one genre of music, good music is good no matter what genre it is in. On that note, I have no interest in playing punk/metal/emo and anything along those lines. 90's alternative music is about as far as I like to go off the beaten path.

EQUIPMENT

Currently running either a JT Strat or an EPI LP through a Peavey Studio Pro 110. Also have a variety of effects and such that I use with those. That amp has been loud enough and with clean enough sound to play almost any bar anywhere. Also have experience playing through a PA as well. Acoustically I have a Yamaha Acoustic/Electric which I run through the same amp. In the process of securing an American made Fender Tele as well. Willing to buy the equipment I need to get the sound I need for the setup.
