Hello. I am trying to find a violin player in the Sioux Falls area to write some music to a song that I already have written. I am a bass player. The song is called "melancholy quandary." To find the link for it go to you tube and search for "melancholy quandary by Pat Cannon." It is a slow, sad song. The only instruments I want on it are the bass and the violin. The song is going to be an instrumental. The violin player does not have to be particularly accomplished as the song is more about feel than being a fast, technical player. I think it's a good thing to tell a musician just to write exactly what they feel is best for the most part. The main thing I want to tell the violin player is that when I pause I want the violin to pause too. I might give some more feedback depending on how the violin player is interpreting the song, but for the most part, I want the violin player to be able to be themselves and write what they like. I apologize that the audio quality is not the best on my you tube link. My goal is to record a video of it so that I can put it up on you tube. I'm not writing this necessarily to make money, I just simply want to do it for the pleasure of writing music. While I don't have a specific place in mind at this point, I do want to be able to record this song in high quality audio once we have it practiced. Please give me a call or text me at 605-251-5142 instead of emailing me. Thanks and good luck!
