Hello. My drummer friend and I would like to find some like minded people to get together with on a regular basis to play songs for fun. For us the fun and challenge is to take a song and refine it with dynamics and nuance to make it more professional sounding. What is not fun for us is cranking out song after average song. I like Blues and Classic rock and some pop, and he likes Modern Rock but we are open to other genres/styles as well as long as they are tasteful and fun to play. Making a blues song Funky or playing funky classic rock or pop songs is beginning to appeal to me lately also. Are we starting a Band? Not really, but if over time with some dedication and commitment, mixed in with good chemistry it turned into a band that would be cool with us. I have roomy and comfortable music room to jam in also. If any of this sounds good to you contact me and let's work something out.

Influences
I enjoy listening to a wide variety of music but really dig:
SRV, Clapton, Albert King, Tom Petty, Freddie King, Howling Wolf, Johnny Lang, Otis Rush. Robert Cray, Susan Tedeschi, The Allman Bros, The Fabulous T-Birds, Jeff Healy, CCR, Beatles, ZZ top and recently aquired a taste for the Rolling stones. I could continue but I'll just say there really isn't much I don't like in the Blues or Classic rock styles.
Modern Rock appeals to my drummer because he feels he gets to play his drums more technically than just beat keeping and fills. There probably isn't much he does not like in that genre.
