I'm a jazz pianist and composer but my double life is rock, blues, funk guitar and vocalist. I hate saying lead guitarist because that implies the caricature of the spotlight grabbing "non-ensemble player". OK, I can also bring electric keyboards to the group and for the right group would love to.
I had a working trio in the Chicago area that covered: Joe Bonamassa, Buddy Guy, The Who, Frank Zappa, James Brown, David Bowie, Steely Dan, RadioHead, The Black Keys and Pink Floyd. I want to rework this group as an original music trio. In this format I am the front vocalist - although I don't consider myself a great vocalist. My best vocal attribute is I'm very willing to sing and I'm on pitch. I have about 8 good notes I can hit with conviction right between tenor and alto ;^)

OK. For guitar gigs: Custom Fender strat, two Mission 5e3 amps in stereo, Strymon Leslie simulator, Strymon TimeLine, Rat, Hall of fame reverb, etc. Keyboards - Kurzweil, MC2000, Nord, Motion sound amplifier, etc.
