The name of the band 42day is pronounced For Today. This is a new band, or rather a collaboration of musicians from around the world. The music reflects the dynamics of modern life, the internet, social media. In many ways it is rebellious, a throwback against some of the modern trends. In other respects it rejoices in the modern freedom, and reflects the opportunities that exist today. I write lyrics but cannot sing, and my guitar playing is mechanical and acoustic.. I am looking for people to collaborate with to create something unique. Because the band reflects modern internet and social media trends, I am deliberately looking for musicians who I have never met, and ideally who have never met each other. Hopefully this will change in future and we can meld as a cohesive group.

EQUIPMENT
Basics will be bass, drums, piano/keyboard acoustic and electric guitar. Electronic effects will most likely be needed to create a modern effect where it compliments the nature of the song.
