ABOUT

I am a native of Colorado and performed all over the state and parts of Wyoming in my teenage years in the 1960's. In 1969 I moved to Chicago to pursue my professional career after finishing my college education at Colorado State University. For nearly all of my life I have played music as a professional on a part-time/weekend basis. I have over 40 years of professional experience playing pedal steel guitar.

I was and still am well established and well known in the music circles of Chicago. Bands I have been a member of have performed all over the mid-west. They have opened concerts and shows for numerous major artists including Charlie Daniels, Reba McIntire, Brooks and Dunn, Toby Keith, Keith Urban, Montgomery-Gentry, Billy Ray Cyrus, Asleep at the Wheel, to name a few of the most familiar. For the past 10 years I have also performed in Las Vegas during the National Finals Rodeo at both the Gold Coast Casino and the South Point Casino with Nashville Recording Artist Susie Dobbs.

I am equally comfortable in the recording studio, on the bandstand, or stage. Pedal steel guitar is my primary instrument, but I also play lap slide guitar, and a little dobro. I am well versed and skilled in Classic/Traditional Country, Modern Country, Country Rock, Western Swing, and Classic Rock. I am a quick learner and make it a practice to always show up prepared.

I have frequently been called upon for studio work on both vocal singles and well as radio jingles.

My promo package which I am including links to with this brief biography contains some pedal steel and lap steel samplers along with some of my recent recording studio projects.
I now spend the majority of my time in Colorado and I am looking to establish myself in the Colorado Springs and Denver area for studio recording work, and I'd like to become a member of a really good country band.

I desire to work/play with accomplished musicians who take their music seriously, are prepared, who respect and listen to what's happening on stage, and who contribute in ways that complement each other and the lead vocalists................and who have some fun while doing it.

I am available for concert dates, club dates, and studio work.

I hope that I can be of service to you. And should that not be the case I would appreciate your help to pass my name and promo package around to others who may be in need of a seasoned pedal steel guitar player such as me.
