I've been playing guitar for the past 6 years. Studying it immensely. Over the past two years I have picked up mandolin and studied contemporary bluegrass, and jam grass. I also sing and would gladly front/co front/be a sideman of anything.
Most of what i've studied is in the "jam" world. But have also learned a lot from great improvisors like John Scofield. I'd love to start a project either similar in sounds to Greensky Bluegrass, Leftover Salmon, or Railroad Earth. Or simply a fun band that likes to jam like moe. or Phish or the Allmans.
