Band to Join, Keyboard, Drums, Bass Guitar, Vocalist.

I love playing guitar. The only thing that comes close, and perhaps surpasses my love of playing the guitar is building guitars, effects, and pedalboards. I've been playing pretty consistantly since about the age of 14 when Jimmy Page grabbed hold of me and never let go.

If I'm playing a cover song I pride myself on playing it like the record and matching the tones. I view that as critical for a cover band.

As I have an active career and family I'm looking form/join a band that can play a couple of gigs a month. My goal is to be in a band that can tackle some of the more challenging material.

The classic rockers are my foundation: Zeppelin, Rush, Boston, Queen, Journey,... anything with strong guitars and killer vocals. I dig music with harmony vocals as that really sets a band apart.

I'm also influenced by the masters: Vai, Satriani, Johnson for their technical prowess. Always something more to learn and explore.

As far as general listening, and performing goes I tend to gravitate to more radio friendly rock music. I prefer to play for a crowd, not an empty room...

My guitar rig has changed so much over the years... Initially it was a couple of key stomp boxes, then a full MIDI/rack system, then a big pedal board with a wide array of stomp boxes. Now I'm using a multi-effects pedalboard that allows me to store some pre-sets, but also a few key pedals to get the right sound.

My guitars consist of various electrics, mostly custom built, as per my profile picture.
