Lead Guitar.

I am looking to put a band together to play songs that we love, songs that people know but don’t hear every other band play. It will be a “rock band” but playing the full spectrum of rock music – from John Lennon to John Mellencamp, from Robert Plant to Robin Trower, from Chris Isaak to Chris Rea, from David Bowie to…well, you get the idea. I’ve played a few locations on the brewery circuit – they’re fun, the beers good and the crowds are mixed – you need some of everything to engage everyone. Hopefully, we’ll find an audience…but the plan is that we’ll have some fun, playing songs we love, while we look for it.

The band will (probably) be two guitars, bass, drums, and a vocalist…and that’s me. I’ve been playing bass and doing vocals for some years and I know I didn’t do either as well as I should – so I want to focus on the front man role. Already have a rhythm guitarist and right now we’re looking for a lead guitarist, someone who can make the song shine, who can play the iconic lead lines that are vital in certain songs…and reinterpret the lines in the songs that can stand it. Eventually we’ll be looking for a rhythm section too…but the lead guitar comes first while we fine tune the set list and the arrangements.

We have a practice space with a PA and an electronic drum set (sparing the neighbours) and all the gear we need to play out. Just need the right musicians to make it all work…
