SEEKING
Band to Join, Vocalist, Rhythm Guitar, Lead Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums, Keyboard.ABOUT
I picked up a guitar way back in college during the 80s, tried to self-learn and then graduated and got married, kids, etc. and stopped playing much or learning. During COVID I decided to start the learning process again and joined the School of Rock as my youngest was playing drums and bass and it looked like a fun time. I took lessons and eventually joined a few local bands, including the Lake Rats, a cover band for older and country type music where I played both lead and rhythm guitar. I picked up the bass and played for Bethnie Rose, an original Indi-rock artist in the DFW area for a few months. Since leaving both of those bands, I continued to play at the School of Rock Adult Band program and have taken some additional lessons and continue to learn.
I'm looking to join a band that is on the 'chill' side regarding gigging and practicing, would love to find something on guitar or bass that would be a practice a week at most, and a gig every month or so. Committed to making it work with the right group, but don't want to be in a situation where the band wants to gig every week or multiple times in a weekend very often.
