Formed in 2007, the quintet quickly gained the attention of South Florida music lovers by consistently delivering mind-blowing performances everywhere they play!
Bobby Berger (M.C.) has the hip-hop and rock rollin though his heart. Jon Hansen (Vocals/ Guitar) Brings in the vivacious island vibes. He stems from a huge family of famous musicians in Guam. Sean Rahil (Guitars). William Powell (Bass), don’t let the baby face mislead you he plays with the experience of a seasoned professional. Tisha Wilmot (Drums) takes your heart beat to next level. Together - chemistry is invaluable and music infectious to all those who come in contact.
Coming from all different types of musical interests as well as different ethnic backgrounds, it is Pawnshop 45’s mission to spread love and positivity through their musical style. Unlike most bands it is said that they fit into absolutely no genre because of the beautiful blend of so many different styles. “I just can’t put my finger on it. I want to call it reggae but I want to call it rap. Sometimes I want to even call it blues or funk” says Eric Sommer of Sunrise, Florida. They take their experiences as individuals as well as friends and turn it into melody. They say that is how they solve their problems. Instead of arguing, they just play. When one feels down, he will be uplifted by the music. Pawnshop’s main goal is to show their beauty through speaking to others. This isn’t just about the music for this band, it’s also about the movement. It’s a movement of love. It’s a revolution of positivity, and they are dead set on having everyone involved.
They cannot be stopped and they will not…until the entire world hears what they have to say. There is a strong connection between these five and it is a bond which is a solid as oak. It is clear that friendship is the foundation for this band. They feel that together they can accomplish anything and they’ve gathered a local fan base that seems to think so as well.
