June tuesday is an original band that has been playing on and off since the early 90s with a variety of different members over the years. The Paul Davis Project is the name I used when I put out an album. It was more of a studio band at the time. It was assembled just for recording and all of the songs are originals that I wrote. I am currently putting together a new project with many of the same songs I've played over the years as well as some new ones. I have a drummer that has been in and out of the band since the 90s. Our last group, Visurreal, broke up around the time of the pandemic. I am looking to promote the album and do some more recording as well as playing shows. I have a rehearsal space and a PA. I have songs from the album available here as well as a live video from a few years back. I have a you tube page under The Paul Davis Project.
There is a wide variety of videos from over the years and some solo acoustic stuff as well. The album is available on most major streaming services, Apple Music, Pandora, Spotify, etc... I believe the album is also on you tube. All of this will give you a decent idea of where I am at musically, especially the album. I see all of that as a starting point for the new band and I approach this with an open mind towards different styles and influences. The main focus will be original music. I have about three albums worth of material, but I am also open to working with other writers. Most of the covers I've done over the years have been an eclectic mix of lesser known tunes. My music often has psychedelic tendencies and there is a bit of improv in some of the tunes (the jam that evolves out of the end of Red is an example), but I could also see it moving towards more Americana influenced songs or even a pursuing more of a jamband style. I am also open to other vocalists and other members singing, even lead vocals. I am not opposed to sending out a copy of the album on CD if anyone is interested. It has some unique artwork as well as the lyrics to all the songs. I see lyric writing as an important element of songcraft and consider it a strength of my original work.
