Tricia "Fire-Fingers" Fairman is a fiddler from Cleveland, OH. Growing up in a musical family, she picked up the violin when she was 7 years old and hasn't stopped playing. Growing up in Cleveland, she performed with the Contemporary Youth Orchestra and played concerts with Graham Nash (Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young) and Jon Anderson (Yes). Attending the Ohio State University, she studied violin under Kia-Hui Tan, and string pedagogy with Dr. Robert Gillespie. Tricia performed with several Columbus, Ohio area classical and folk groups including, Whiskey Mile, Mad Maudlin, Wild Lark, Boudica, New Albany Symphony and while managing the Columbus Symphony Youth Orchestras.

In 2012, Tricia moved to Portland. She has been welcomed by the Celtic Folk community and has performed with Bill Tollner Band, Grafton Street, Coming up Threes, and Sons of Malarkey. She has played and taught fiddle workshops at Galway Bay Irish Music Festival (Ocean Shores, WA), Corvallis Craft Beer Picnic (Corvallis, OR) Prosser Highland Games (Prosser, WA), Portland Highland Games (Portland, OR) and many more venues.
Tricia is a diverse fiddler, and plays in a variety of styles including classical, Celtic (Scottish/Irish/Cape Bretton), bluegrass, gypsy, and a little jazz. She is a proponent of creative string education, keeping up an active teaching studio along with her performing. She was recently hired to teach violin lessons at Ethos Music Center in Portland.
