ABOUT

I started playing guitar when I was 16 and picked up a bass at 18, and just recently started playing drums. I consider myself a bassist overall though. On the other hand, I would have no objections to playing anything any of those three, but my drumming is pretty basic at this point.

I'm a pretty laid back guy who can get along with most anyone.

I don't have much gigging experience yet. Just a few open mic nights in a small town, a few local festivals, and playing acoustic guitar in church for the youth group.

Influences

I have a wide range of influences from noise-rock to dance-punk to bluegrass and folk. I'd like to be in a band that is unclassifiable and is capable of pulling off multiple genres. I try to be very openminded when it comes to music. I'm also open to 'alternative' combinations of instruments, not just guitar, bass, and drums.

The very first band I was in was a complete improv band with me on bass, a drummer and a guy on didgeridoo and theramin. That helped a lot with my improv skills but unfortunately we only played three open mic nights.

Since then I've just been filling in on various projects of my brother's. Most of those just being rock cover bands.
