I play guitar chords mainly and I like to sing, and I'm fluent and good enough to play fast, with energy and accurately, with a variety of added decorative embellishments, even while singing lead vocals and harmonies. My singing is loud and clear, musical and nuanced. I like to sing all styles, and i do falsettos and harmonies with ease. I am very comfortable finding my place in a harmony stack. I have a good natural ear. I don't read notation, but chord charts are fine. I live on the northwest side of Chicago, and I have a car. White male, open minded to all races, genders, gender preferences and ages.

Influences
I listen to everything, from a squeaky door to Beethoven Late Concertos. I'm open minded and like to hear new things, and old-new things.I have a huge record collection. I don't 'love' everything though. I prefer melodic music, which covers a lot of ground. I like rock, pop, country and blues to play and sing, mainly because I grew up listening to that stuff, and I know many tunes in those genres. But I also love listening to jazz (all eras), classical, punk, r&b (all eras), rockabilly, psychedelia, reggae, trance and electronica, movie soundtracks, etc. I think Jimi Hendrix was the greatest guitarist, ever, but I like Django Reinhardt and Eddie Van Halen too. So, i'm influenced by lots of sounds, but I like more types of music than I can play!

Acoustic Guitars: I have a good 1989 Sigma (Martin) single cutaway D-28, a good Recording King, a Fender, and a cheap classical guitar. Electrics: '94 Fender USA Stratocaster Plus, a '78 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe, '94 Fender Squier Telecaster (Japan), '78 Fender USA Mustang, '66 Kent Japan Semi-hollow, '67 Hagstrom Viking Semi-hollow (Sweden), '64 Kay USA Speed Demon, 1948 Harmony Lap Steel 6 string, and a Mountain Dulcimer. Amps: 1957 Gibson USA GA-77 35 watt (tube), 1999 Fender USA Champ 30 watt. I mainly use a Fender Strat guitar and Fender Champ amp.
