I picked up the bass guitar about a year and a half ago and since then I have practiced hard to improve myself as much as I can. As far as groups go, I am a beginner, but I can hold a good groove down in most genres.
I am willing to play for anyone within a reasonable distance.

Chris Squire, John Entwistle, Jaco Pastorius, Billy Sheehan, John Coltrane and Frank Zappa. I also listen to a fair amount of Jazz and Motown and Baroque which tend to color my playing style a great deal
