Pete Lee has been performing for over 40 years as a Vocalist and Drummer. Originally hailing from New York, Pete studied drums with world renown session drummer Bernard Purdie (Aretha Franklin, Steely Dan, Jeff Beck) and Hip Pickles founder Chet Doboe. He Graduated 2nd in his class from Five Towns University and holds a degree in Jazz/Commercial music
In N.Y. Pete performed with recording artists Twice As Nice on Sunshine Sound records owned by K.C. and the Sunshine Band, Bitter End house blues band The Crows, Lou reed Guitarist, Marshall Amplifiers AR and current VP of Fender guitars Ritchie Fliegler. He has also done numerous recording sessions at premier N.Y. recording studios The Power Station and The Hit Factory.
Having relocated to Tampa FL in 1991 Pete has been the Vocalist and Drummer for Bay area staples Smoke and Run for over 20 years. He has also performed with Phoenix, Jaded, Diamond Gray, Lush and Velvet Jones just to name a few. His energetic, fun stage persona is enhanced by his Stand Up comedy ability, having performed at Venues like Tampa’s Side Splitters and Walt Disney World.
