I guess it starts with philosophy, or the deepest thoughts you have that define what's significant in your life that define how you would artictically express yourself, be it with music, poetry, dance, or like one of those guys that shoots paint out of his ass onto a canvas. I'm nobody to judge.
I'm not much for labels, because labels can be perceived in so many stigmatic ways that they distract from how beautiful the idea behind it was; but if i were to attach a label to my idealisms, I'd say i'm a buddhist, who dabbles in shamanism.
And now my point:
Music to me isn't about playing my song for anyone else, or for myself. It's about letting go of myself. My self-conscious, self-awareness, my ego, my agenda, and letting genuine light flow out for anyone who wants to listen.
