Band to Join, Bass Guitar, Upright bass.

05.04.22 : I’m an eclectic guitarist looking for a playing opportunity. Gigs are not a priority. The majority of my experience is in the singer/songwriter genre but I'm moving toward contemporary jazz and related sounds. Experience playing: bands, solo, duos, a jazz combo and fronting a band as a guitarist/singer. Started playing when I was 19. Later than most players, but it's been 40 years and I've got experience, skills, practice, and equipment. I'm looking to feel the chemistry of making music in a non-solo situation. ~ Would love to play in something that has some elements of improvisation/solos. Interested in a combo with or without vocals. A guitar/bass/drums trio is a good possibility and, I’m open to other instrument combinations. If you are looking for a guitarist, get in touch. Tell me about your sound, location and what you’re looking for. Thanks a million.

Jazz guitarists I love to listen to are somewhat along the lines of Bill Frisell, Adam Levy, John Scofield. Pat Metheny and recently... some of Julian Lage.

As for the singer/songwriter world: I enjoy lyrics and songs but see myself as a musician in this genre and not a songwriter. Songwriters with inspiring bands: Van Morrison, Ray LaMontagne, Amos Lee, Norah Jones, and Suzanne Vega.

Instrument experience:

Rhythm Guitar:
Lead Guitar:

PRS guitar, pedal board, Fender amp.

Shure SM58 microphone and a Roland Cube-60XL bass amp, which works amazingly well as a vocal amp. I'm not setting out to be a vocalist this time around but, will consider it if it doesn't take away from guitar playing.
