ABOUT
Sky Harbor Airport is starting a pilot program aimed at getting travelers in a great mood as they come and go from the Valley of the Sun. Local musicians have the opportunity to perform in one of the country’s busiest airports as part of a pilot program called Traveling Tunes. The goal is to enhance the atmosphere for people by providing live music while promoting a fun and joyful atmosphere. Artists will perform for 2 hours on the second and fourth Thursday of each month from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Each month features a different genre of music and performers will be paid $300 per 2-hour performance. 1-4 musicians per group. Each month will feature a different genre, and we are currently seeking samples of the following genres: Folk, R&B and Soul and Rock. This will allow us to schedule a quarter at a time.
