I have always been very motivated to write, record, and arrange music. My style comes from a traditional rock background, but over the years have incorporated funk, jazz, and world music influences into my playing. I do not look for opportunities to over complicate pieces of music- I try to just let the feel and groove of the piece tell me what is appropriate. I am not an egotistical character and have no desire to work with people who are. I am a family man and hope to make music with people who can understand or relate to that.

Influences
My major influences are heavy hitters with finesse such as John Bonham, Dave Grohl, Matt Cameron, and Danny Carey. Others include those from jazz/fusion backgrounds like Carter Beauford, John Blackwell, Jr., Dom Famularo, and Dennis Chambers. In short, I like to hit hard when it counts and fill rhythms with light nuances that play around accents from the other instruments.

EQUIPMENT
I mainly use my dark-stained birch Tama. It is a six piece that I switch sizes up on depending on the music I am playing. I use mainly Zyldjian "A" and Sabian "AAx" cymbals with pearl hardware (holds up the best). I also utilize maracas, and mini timbales when needed. For smaller gigs/projects needing big sound I have a maple Mapex that uses shallow Toms and a 18 or 20 bass drum.
